Privacy Policy

This policy explains exactly what happens to the information you give us through this website — what we collect, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and how to get it removed. It describes what the site actually does, not what a template says it might.

Who we are

This website, shiplinesolutions.com, is operated by ShipLine Solutions Private Limited, a company incorporated in India with its place of business in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

For the purposes of Indian data protection law we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below. For visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we are the controller of that data under the GDPR and UK GDPR.

For anything in this policy — including requests to access or delete your data — write to shiplinesolutions@gmail.com. We answer privacy requests from a real person, usually within a few working days.

What we collect, and when

We do not ask for personal data to browse this site. You can read every page — services, work, blog, careers — without giving us anything. Data reaches us only when you choose to fill in one of three forms.

WhereWhat you give usWhat happens to it
Contact form on the home pageName, email address, the services you tick, and your project description.Nothing is sent to us or to any third party by the website. The form assembles what you typed into a draft email and opens it in your own email app. You decide whether to send it. If you send it, we receive it as an ordinary email.
Project enquiry pop-upName, email address, company (optional), and what you are building.Submitted to Web3Forms, a form-delivery service, which forwards it to our inbox as an email.
Job application form on /careersThe role applied for, your name, email address, phone number (optional), a portfolio, LinkedIn or GitHub link (optional), your resume file, and any note you add.Submitted to Web3Forms, which forwards it and the attached resume to our inbox as an email.

Your resume is the most sensitive thing this site handles, so it gets its own rules on retention and deletion below. Please do not include information we have not asked for and do not need — identity numbers, financial details, health information, or date of birth. We do not require any of it to assess an application.

Like every website, the servers that host this site keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp) for security and reliability. We do not use these to build a profile of you.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use what you send us for one thing only: replying to you and taking the conversation forward.

  • Enquiries — to answer your question, scope the work, send a proposal, and stay in touch about that project. Our basis is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact our business.
  • Job applications — to assess your application, contact you about it, and consider you for the role. Our basis is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and your consent for us to keep your details on file after a decision.
  • Security and reliability — to keep the site up and defend against abuse. Our basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use it to train machine learning models. We do not send marketing emails to people who have only made an enquiry, and we have no mailing list to subscribe you to.

Who else sees your data

We keep the number of companies touching your data as small as we practically can. These are all of them:

ServiceWhat it doesWhat it sees
Web3FormsDelivers submissions from the enquiry pop-up and the job application form to our inbox.Everything you typed into those two forms, including any attached resume. Web3Forms states that it forwards submissions rather than retaining them, and that it deletes server logs periodically. Its servers are in the United States.
Google (Gmail)Hosts the inbox your message arrives in.The contents of your message once it reaches us, for as long as we keep it.
VercelHosts and serves this website.Standard server logs, including your IP address.
Google FontsServes the two typefaces the site is set in.Your IP address, because your browser requests the font files from Google directly when a page loads.
jsDelivr and Simple IconsServe the small technology logos on the services and stack sections.Your IP address, when those images load.
Cal.comRuns the booking page behind “Book a call”. It is a link, not an embed.Nothing, unless you click through and book — in which case you give your details to Cal.com directly, under its own privacy policy.

Beyond these, we may share your data if the law requires it, or with professional advisers where necessary. If we ever engage another processor that handles enquiry or applicant data, we will update this table.

Where your data goes

We are based in India, so data you send us is processed in India. Web3Forms processes submissions on servers in the United States, and Google and Vercel operate global infrastructure — so if you are writing to us from the EEA, the UK, or elsewhere, your data will be transferred outside your country.

Where those transfers involve personal data of people in the EEA or UK, they rely on the standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards offered by the providers concerned. If you would like to know more about the safeguards that apply to a particular transfer, ask us and we will tell you what we know.

How long we keep it

We would rather delete data than store it. Our retention periods are deliberately short:

  • Project enquiries — kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted. If the enquiry becomes a paid engagement, the project records are kept for as long as the contract and Indian tax and company law require.
  • Job applications and resumes — kept for up to 12 months after we reach a decision, so we can come back to you if a suitable role opens. Ask us at any point and we will delete your application and resume sooner. If you would rather we did not keep it at all after a decision, say so in your application and we will delete it once the role is filled.
  • Server logs — kept for a short period for security and diagnostics, then rotated out.

Deleting an email from an inbox is not always instant or absolute — backups roll off on their own schedule. When we say we have deleted something, we mean we have removed it from active use and it will not be retained beyond the backup cycle.

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not know who you are or how many pages you read.

There is exactly one thing stored on your device: a single flag in your browser’s session storage, recording that the project enquiry pop-up has already been shown so it does not appear again. It contains no personal data, it is not shared with anyone, and your browser discards it when you close the tab.

If we ever add analytics, we will update this policy and, where the law requires consent, ask for it before anything is set.

Your rights

Whatever country you are writing from, you can ask us to do the following, and we will:

  • Tell you what personal data of yours we hold and what we have done with it.
  • Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete it. For enquiries and applications there is almost never a reason for us to refuse.
  • Withdraw a consent you gave us, at any time, without having to explain why.
  • Receive a copy in a portable format, or object to or restrict what we are doing with it, where the GDPR or UK GDPR gives you that right.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to, where Indian law provides for it.

Email shiplinesolutions@gmail.com with what you want and we will action it. We will not charge you and we will not make it difficult. If we need to confirm it is really you before deleting something, we will ask for the minimum needed to be sure.

If you think we have handled your data badly, please raise it with us first — we would like the chance to put it right. You also have the right to complain to a regulator: the Data Protection Board of India, or in the EEA or UK, your national supervisory authority or the Information Commissioner’s Office.

How we protect it

Everything submitted through this site travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to the inbox that receives enquiries and applications is limited to the people who need it and protected by multi-factor authentication. Resume files are stored only in that inbox and are not copied into any other system.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your personal data and the law requires us to tell you, we will — promptly, and in plain language.

Children

This site sells business services and advertises jobs. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When the site changes what it collects or who processes it, this page changes with it. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised. If a change materially affects how we handle data you have already given us, we will make that clear rather than quietly editing the page.
